When looking for your new pair of hockey skates, you’ll want to focus on fit. If you’re unsure which skate line fits your foot best, or you’re looking for an accurate measurement, visit your local Pure Hockey. The Ribcor 74K is a high-profile skate, ideal for players with high-volume foot dimensions. This fit is aided by an injected quarter package, creating a durable and structurally stiff boot. And the reinforced injection outsole with exhaust system provides a solid energy transfer profile.
Inside the skate, CCM includes their brushed micro-fiber liner with durazone abrasion protection for increased comfort and resistance to wear. Also included is the CCM footbed, offering good support and comfort at the bottom of the boot. And for the tongue, the 74K uses a 7-mm felt construction with reinforcement layers for increased comfort around the top of the skate, as well as some added protection.
Below the boot of the Ribcor 74K, CCM uses their SpeedBlade 4.0 holder. While this is a step below their new Speedblade XS holder, the 4.0 is still considered a trusted and durable holder which offers an increased attack angle, providing players with improved striding and cornering. Attached to the Speedblade 4.0 is CCM’s Speedblade stainless steel runner. This quality skate blade provides a long lasting edge for extended performance, proving to be a great option for those players who skate a couple times per week or less.
